I bought this kit as an addition to my existing gear and love love this rod and reel combo. I also have a Ross flyrise 2 for my 5 weight and love the feel and flow of this solid reel.. I broke the tip of this rod (completely my fault) and customer service was amazing! Great guys that have worked, guide, and fish. They know what they are talking about. Nortern Michigan fellas at their best. Thanks Ross. Ill stand by your product any day.

About a year ago, I met some guys from college who were really into fly fishing. I wanted to give it a try and I borrowed some equipment. After a few weeks I was in love and wanted to get my own gear, so I asked my buddy what he would buy and he said anything by Ross... American Made, lifetime Warranty, and good quality. I have never looked back, I have bought more gear from Ross since then, but this is the best package on the market to start out and get yourself in the water. Its easy to fish and has the feel of a higher quality rod. I had a chance to fish with a very expensive LOOP set up and I would rather fish my Ross any day of the week. Good Luck.
