The drag on the Canyon BG is so smooth that with 10 lb. flourocarbon tippet and the drag at a very tight setting, not once did I break off on the take of numerous bonefish up to nine pounds.The real test came when I landed this 55-60 lb. giant trevally. This monster was like being hooked up to a truck. Once again the Ross performed without a flaw. This fish took two runs deep into the backing. Maybe 300+ yards? The drag was consistant trip after trip into the backing, protecting the tippet and not loosing a single fish. Thank you for a great reel.
